Lake Chabot Golf Course is operated in a manner that provides for virus mitigation through established guidelines of social distancing, while maintaining a clean, sanitized environment for both guests and employees of the operation.
The logistics to the operating plan are as follows:

Reservations and Payment
  • Reservations can be made up to seven days in advance either ONLINE or over the phone.
    • Advanced reservations are required.  
    • No cash transactions!
  • Payment for ALL FEES MUST BE PAID IN ADVANCE either ONLINE or over the phone with the golf shop staff.
    • Due to the volume of calls we are receiving; we highly suggest you book tee times online
  • Golfers are REQUIRED TO WEAR FACIAL COVERINGS (FACE MASKS) WHEN ON THE PROPERTY:
    • FACE MASKS ARE REQURIED AT ALL TIMES INSIDE AND WITHIN 30 FEET OF THE CLUBHOUSE
      • We will not conduct a transaction with a customer not wearing a mask. 
    • FACE MASKS ARE REQUIRED OUTSIDE WHEN YOU ARE WITHIN 30 FEETS OF OTHERS.
Additional Safety Rules, Precautions and information
  • 6 feet social distancing (physical separation between people) is required while on property.
  • SINGLE RIDER CARTS ONLY. We encourage those who can walk to do so.
    • Same-Household shared carts are available upon request. You must be able to prove shared residence.
  • NO SPECTATORS. Only golfers with Tee Times or those who rent driving range balls may be allowed on to the property.
  • Prior to starting play or practicing, Golfers must check in at the GOLF SHOP WINDOW and present a valid ID and the receipt/verification for their prepaid fees.  Signage will direct guests as to the check-in area.  Lines on the ground designate where each individual should stand while waiting to check in.
  • Any player with a fever or recent contact with anyone known to have COVID-19 is not allowed at the facility.
  • Those at higher risk of serious illness from COVID-19 are discouraged from golfing at this time.
  • Merchandise and Refreshments are available for sale. Please ask the golf shop window or call ahead of your scheduled tee time.
  • A limited food and beverage takeout menu is available at the Cafe.  The on-course café is open from
  • Congregating before, during or after the round is not allowed. Guests who do not comply will be asked to leave the facility. 
  • Rental clubs and push carts are not available at this time.

Daily Operations  
  • The golf course will be open from 6:00 AM until 7:00 PM daily. The Driving Range and Practice Facilities will be closed at 6:00 PM. The last tee time and last range bucket sold will be at 6:45 PM.
  • Driving Range golf balls must be purchased at the golf shop window.
  • The clubhouse, golf shop and dining room will remain closed at all times. Clubhouse bathrooms are available for use and the Café is open for takeout.
  • Staff will monitor and strictly enforce social distancing practices of golfers before, during and after their round or practice session – compliance is required.
  • Tee Times intervals will be expanded. No more than 4 golfers are allowed in each group.
  • Only one person is allowed per golf cart unless in same-household.
  • Golf carts are staged at least 6 feet apart. The carts are washed, sanitized and wiped down after each use.  The cart key, scorecard and pencil will be carefully placed by our staff wearing gloves and face covering.
  • On-course restrooms will be open for golfers and sanitized every 2 hours.
  • There will be flagstick coverings (foam insert) on each flagstick operating as a buffer to the golf ball upon approach Once the golf ball has laid onto the foam insert, it is considered “holed” and you may move on to the next hole. Do not touch or remove the flagstick.
  • Rakes, ball washers and divot mix containers have been removed from the golf course.
  • Water will not be provided. Drinking fountains are covered and water coolers removed.  Customer water bottles are not permitted to be filled by staff.
  • Chipping and Putting Greens will remain open for use with player’s own equipment and only for players with tee times for golf course or driving range. Please adhere to restrictions on number of players allowed on each green at a time (on-course and practice).
  • The driving range will remain open. However, every other stall will remain closed in order to maintain a 9’ distance between individuals.
  • Golfers are to remove any trash from their golf cart and place in a trash receptacle.
  • All players must leave the property upon the completion of their round or practice.  Congregating is not allowed.
